Federal Advocacy 

The Advocacy Team takes the Indivisible national agenda and adapts it to our local priorities and resources, working with the Indivisible Yolo Steering Committee, Local Action Team and State Strong Yolo for optimal, sustainable impact and volunteer engagement. 

By definition, advocacy activities are multi-faceted, dynamic and opportunistic – designed for optimal impact ‘in the moment’ and to build progressive power over time.   At the Federal level, this means advocating with our Members of Congress (MOC) to both fight the MAGA agenda and press for progressive change even in a divided congress. 

During election season, the priorities shift to electoral work but our aim is to push for progressive change continuously.  The weekly newsletter highlights actions to take with elected officials.
