Who we are and what we do… 

Indivisible Yolo is a chapter of the grassroots movement of Indivisible (indivisible.org) and is based on the vision of a real democracy -- of, by, and for the people.

Indivisible Yolo’s mission is to promote progressive policies by activating people to engage in their democracy at all levels of government. We organize and advocate for our policy goals and to get out the vote to elect candidates who pursue those policies. These complementary efforts ensure our democracy works for everyone and that those in power do, too.

We work to build a democracy that reflects a broad, multiracial “we the people,” one that works for all of us and is sustained by all of us. Only then will we be able to achieve a progressive vision for our future.

We defeated Trump in 2020. We’ve defeated his cronies. We won in Georgia and took the Senate. In 2024, we have a short window to save our democracy. Getting it done depends on all of us.

Together, we will win back the House, keep the presidency, and elect Democrats who actually champion reproductive freedom. But the fight won't end there. Then, we'll push to abolish the filibuster, restore voting rights and the right to abortion nationwide. And that’s not all!
