Democracy Reform

We won the election and for the first time in a decade have a Democratic trifecta. We now have a short window of opportunity to pass a host of progressive legislation, but first we must ensure that our democracy survives and enters the next election cycle on solid ground. We must pass democracy reform to end congressional gridlock and pass legislation to help people that are struggling and address in justice and inequality.

In that vein, we were excited to hold a six-week series with a “learn and do” format. First, organizers led a short discussion on a part of the new Indivisible Guide. Then, volunteers got directions on an easy action to take to persuade our elected officials to enact the key reforms in the new guide. Now that we completed the review of the guide, we are continuing the series to take action every Sunday all the way through the first 100 days of the Biden administration.

We will use our #DoTheWork link tree to take action. It’s a one-stop shop for democracy reform activism resources with links to the Action Hour Zoom meeting, the action of the week, the new guide, and more. It makes advocating for democracy reform easy and can be used on your own anytime during the week to contact our representatives about critical legislation.

After you call, write or visit your member of congress, be sure to add your action to our tally sheet so we can see how the advocacy of our community adds up.
