Tell Bill Dodd to Vote Yes on SB 822 (Net Neutrality)

We’re so close to getting Net Neutrality established here in California!  Now that it’s passed out of the Assembly, it must pass again in the Senate, and then go to the Governor’s desk to be signed.

We’re up against a lot of corporate money and interests by ISPs across the state. We have to show them, and Senator Dodd, that people power matters!

Hi, my name is _____ and I am from ____, zip code _____. I’m calling to express my strong support of Senate Bill 822, which will protect net neutrality in California. This bill would show California’s leadership in passing strong legislation to protect consumers and establish net neutrality policy after the FCC dismantled it in December. Can I count on Senator Dodd to vote yes on this bill?

Tell Bill Dodd to vote YES on AB 3131: Police Demilitarization and Accountability

Background:

This bill directly resists the Trump administration’s attempt to militarize local police forces while creating significant police oversight which will help to protect our communities, especially people of color and immigrants, in California.

Hi, my name is _____ and I am from ___, zip code_____. I am calling to ask Senator Dodd to support AB 3131, which would require law enforcement to get permission and hold open hearings anytime they wanted to acquire military equipment. Now that the Trump administration has rolled back the ban on transferring military equipment to police, I expect California to step up and implement serious accountability measures. Can I count on Senator Dodd to vote yes on AB 3131 on the Senate floor?

Ask Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry to Vote NO on AB813 – save our electric grid!

Background:

AB 813 would undermine California’s renewable energy progress. It would create a regional electrical grid with other Western states, most of whom are coal-producing states, and would likely lead to more dirty energy coming into California. Furthermore, the grid operator would be under the control of FERC, which is under control of the Trump administration. The last thing we need is to give away control of our grid to an administration who thinks climate change is a hoax.

CA04 needs our help! Republican Tom McClintock, who consistently votes for ACA repeal, and can’t even be bothered to live in his own district, is being challenged by Democrat Jessica Morse!

Jessica needs our help in turning voters out to the polls, and making sure folks are registered. In addition to canvassing events, we’re doing a Big Day for CA04 in conjunction with Sister District CA03, to get out the vote for Jessica Morse!

Join us at the Yolo County Democratic Party Headquarters (911 Third St., Davis, CA) on Saturday, September 8th from 12:30pm-4:30pm!

No experience necessary!
