2018-04-23Thank Senator Feinstein for her opposition to Mike Pompeo’s nomination as Secretary of State
- Sen. Feinstein: (202) 224-3841
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to thank the Senator for her opposition to Mike Pompeo’s nomination as Secretary of State.
Pompeo is on the cusp of earning the rare distinction of failing to receive a recommendation from the Senate Foreign Relations committee. His nomination may still succeed, due to the abysmal judgement of Heidi Heitkamp, but it must nevertheless be opposed, for he is the wrong man for the job. A hawk and a sycophant, Pompeo will exacerbate Trump’s weaknesses of aggressiveness and impulsiveness. Thank you for rejecting his nomination.
Thank Senator Harris for her opposition to Mike Pompeo’s nomination as CIA director last year
- Sen. Harris: (202) 224-3553
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to thank the Senator for her opposition to Mike Pompeo’s nomination as to his current position as CIA director last year.
I hope the Senator will agree that a person like Pompeo is not fit to be Secretary of State. He is a Trump clone who’s displayed anti-Muslim bigotry, spouted dangerous warmongering, opposed diplomacy with Iran, and denied climate change. We are all less safe if Pompeo is confirmed.
Can I count on the Senator opposing Pompeo ‘s nomination as Secretary of State?
Thank Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry for her vote in committee in favor of democratic oversight on police militarization
- Davis Office: (530) 757-1034
Hi, my name is <YOUR NAME> and I am from <YOUR TOWN>. I am calling to thank {PERSON} for her support for AB3131 that would require law enforcement to get permission and hold open hearings anytime they wanted to acquire military equipment. Now that the Trump administration has rolled back that ban on transferring military equipment to police, I expect California to step up and implement some serious accountability measures.
Tell MoCs to do everything in their power to rein in Trump’s Syrian escalation
- Sen. Harris: (202) 224-3553
- Sen. Feinstein: (202) 224-3841
- Rep. Garamendi: (202) 225-1880
Hello, my name is [name] and I am calling from [part of state] to express my dismay that Trump has again launched an unauthorized and strategy-free strike in Syria.
I’m calling to ask for {PERSON} to do everything in their power to rein in Trump’s escalation and urge the Administration to instead lead with diplomacy to help the people of Syria.
I want to see the United States support the investigation into the attack, and lead with a diplomatic solution to bring the bloodshed to an end. Will {PERSON} pledge to vote against any further force in Syria, and call on the Administration to seek a political solution?
In addition, if we are concerned about the people of Syria, we should immediately resettle more refugees and give them a place to flee this violence. Can [MoC] at least call on the Administration to do that?
Thank Senator Dodd for supporting Net Neutrality
- Sacramento Office: (916) 651-4003
Hi, my name is _______ and I’m a constituent from zip code______ and a member of Indivisible. I’m calling to thank Senator Dodd for co-authoring SB-822, the Net Neutrality bill.
Ajit Pai’s tenure at the FCC has been marked by his selling out consumers in order to line the coffers of the major telecoms. Nothing has been more egregious than his gutting of net neutrality. Thank you for fighting back with a bill that would not only preserve net neutrality, but extend it beyond previous federal restrictions, here in California.
